Do I have to pay the OPSA fee?
- Membership of OPSA is "compulsory". You can of course opt-out of membership if you conscientiously object being a member of OPSA. However, you must by law still pay an amount equivalent to the OPSA fee, which will be paid to a registered charity. As of 2012 you will no longer automatically become a member and will no longer pay the $40 membership levy to OPSA.
- You may have your OPSA fee waived and still be a member of OPSA if, and only if, you are suffering severe financial hardship. This waiver will only be granted in exceptional financial circumstances. As of 2012 you will no longer pay the $40 membership levy to OPSA.
These figures are correct at time of publication by may be subject to change, please confirm the latest fugures with the OPSA Secretary.
