Student IT Service Desk

OP's student service desk provides IT support for both onsite and distance students.
· For distance students we provide remote support for IT questions and issues over the phone or using remote support tools.
· For onsite students call over to the open access suite or use the helpdesk phones located in most computer suites
Support is provided for the following learning systems:
· Blackboard
· Elluminate
· Student Email
Support is provided to explain/resolve any issues with the following:
· Student Email
· Login/passwords
· Polytechnic wireless network for Windows and Mac
· Student Portal services
The student service desk is providing a drop in service for laptops and desktop machines for a fee.
· Virus checking $40
· Reinstalling the O/S $90.00
· Recovery Disks $30.00
· Driver issues
· System File issues
· Instruction on Backing Up Data
Provide students with:
· Free software i.e. virus protection
· A retailer for software needs .
· A place for hardware repairs
Hours of support and location
· 9 am to 9 pm 7 days a week
· Open Access suite
