What if I don't want anything to do with OPSA?
Membership of OPSA is "compulsory", so you are automatically a member when you enrol at OP. But you can of course opt-out of membership if you object to being a member - simply apply to OPSA for conscientious objection to membership (when granted you levies will be donated, by law, to a registered charity instead of being used by OPSA).
Hardship membership waiver
If you are suffering severe financial hardship then you may have your OPSA levy waived while still remaining a member of OPSA. This waiver will only be granted in exceptional financial circumstances.
