The Community Law Centre offers free legal advice and information - the Dunedin office is located at 52 Filleul Street - opposite the car park of the Golden Centre and you do not need to make an appointment at the following times:

Monday – Thursday 5.30 - 7.30 pm
Thursday 12.30 - 2.00 pm

Central Otago – first consecutive Tuesday and Wednesday of the month - check local papers for location and times available in Alexandra, Cromwell, Queenstown and Wanaka.

Otago Province – (free-phone 0800-169-333) Advisors available 2.30 - 4.30pm each afternoon.

Help with traffic, employment, tenancy, police, consumer/debt, criminal, ACC, neighbours, government depts and family matters.

Cannot help with wills, trusts and estates (other than general information), buying or selling property, business or commercial matters.

Matters that come to the Law Centre remain there and are governed by the same principles of confidentiality that occur in any solicitor/client relationship.
