The team at the Student Medical Centre has a strong commitment to Health Promotion to help you stay healthy.

The Student Services Fee and your Community Services Card help fund this service. We ask that you apply for your Community Services Card as soon as you commence your studies, so that we can continue to provide this service. Consultations are free with your Community Services Card.

To get the most out of your studies, you need to be healthy, both physically and emotionally. Student Health provides a confidential service, expected at a normal General Practice, to all eligible students with a registered nurse and doctor in attendance each week day. There may be up to three doctors and two nurses in attendance including both male and female doctors

Your Student Health levy and Community Services Card help fund this service. So that this can continue, we ask that you apply for your card as soon as you commence your studies.
NB: Student Health is a non-profit organisation and therefore prompt payment of accounts helps keep the service going. We are happy to send out accounts but request that these are paid within 14 days. If not, a $3 administration fee is added to the total. If you need longer please talk to Reception.

It is important that we have your current contact details. Please contact us directly if you change address or phone number.

Appointments are 15 minutes. If you require longer or have multiple enquires please let reception know when booking and additional charges will apply.

We ask that if you are unable to attend your appointment to please phone and advise us so we can give that appointment time to someone else that needs to be seen. Failure to let us know will result in a charge being added onto your account.

We have a strong commitment to provide continuity of care, so we are happy for you to see the same staff member each time you visit. Please remember that not everyone works every day so you many need to wait a day or two to see the medical staff of your choice, and it is no problem if you see 1 or 2 others until you find someone you feel comfortable with.

It is not our policy to do prescriptions or give out test results over the phone. You need to make an appointment for these.
